The Training Coordinator is located in Bowmanville and typically reports directly to the Learning & Development Program Lead. Their primary focus is providing the Power Generation Region with accurate and efficient administration of training through; adherence to policies, quality assurance and regulatory requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor department shared mailboxes and triage requests/reports
  • Maintain PGR Onboarding, PGR Training, and Osborne Training Room Outlook Calendars
  • Prepare classroom and course materials for training courses, maintain training rosters, schedule and close our courses in Learning Management System as directed
  • Review expiring qualifications in client LMS and roster required training weekly, monthly and quarterly
  • Assist with Onboarding duties including, but not limited to, preparing, collecting and processing paperwork, monitoring personnel in the classroom, maintaining new hire spreadsheets, reviewing qualifications, preparing forms (report to site, terminations etc), setting up eLearning profiles, assisting with and monitor progress of Computer Based Training (CBTs).
  • Work with Training/Onboarding Coordinators and Admins and Learning & Development Team on other duties as assigned
  • Attend department meetings and record Meeting Minutes and distribute as required
  • Understand and comply with project retention policies and standards
  • Project level attendance (site accounting) and project payroll
  • Other Project Level Administrative requests as required
  • Distribute, retrieve, and archive documents
  • Communicate relevant information to internal and external stakeholders when required
  • Understand project-specific filing systems, interfaces, and general document control processes and manage the flow of information accordingly
  • Adhere to record retention policies and standards, and comply with filing system
  • Maintain the department\'s library of documents (including engineering, architectural, procurement and construction documents)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Completion of secondary school is an asset
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or trade license is an asset
  • Completion of a University Bachelor\'s Degree or College Diploma preferable in Business or equivalent
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Relevant technical training or experience
  • 6 years document retention/administrative experience
  • Experience working on projects of high complexity
  • Understand project management processes and document control procedures
  • Proven knowledge of document filing systems, policies, and standards
  • Experience with electronic document control
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
