Working Arrangement Hybrid The opportunity About your team: You will be a member of the Product illustration team. The team generates product illustrations for insurance advisors, to help them provide support and advice to our life insurance clients. Many insurance products are sensitive to interest rates or have adjustable features. Illustrations contain valuable information that allows advisors to show a policy\xe2\x80\x99s progress over time, evaluate the impact of certain changes, and determine funding levels required to ensure clients\xe2\x80\x99 insurance needs continue to be met. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do: Running illustrations requires extensive breadth of product and system knowledge. The product illustration team supports several products which all have their respective illustration tools. Life insurance products remain in effect until there is a claim or a cancellation. The Training and Documentation specialist role is key to ensuring that we capture and maintain the required product knowledge to continue supporting our clients seamlessly and deliver on our promises. The illustration tools get updated or replaced with newer solutions so there is an ongoing need to keep training manuals and procedures up-to-date. The T&D specialist will also be responsible to deliver training to the team, whether it\xe2\x80\x99s for new hires or to keep the teams knowledge current. Individual Responsibilities:

  • Write technical documentation for the Team
  • Create and maintain variety of training documents and aids
  • Create and manage project plans and training schedules
  • Create learning objectives and measures to deliver knowledge transfer
  • Ensure accurate, useful documentation delivered in a timely manner
  • Represent the interests of the Team on various projects
  • Maintain the Business Unit Continuity Plan (BUCP) for the Team
  • Run inforce illustrations and/or help triage requests in times of high volumes
What we are looking for:
  • Strong product and industry knowledge
  • Expert excel skills
  • Technical background with 5+ years of life insurance experience, as well as documentation experience
  • Prior knowledge of Manulife\xe2\x80\x99s insurance products, illustration systems, and admin systems is an asset
  • High level understanding of policyholder tax
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on several projects and keep all partners informed Strong communicator

Salary & Benefits The annual base salary for this role is listed below.






Primary Location Waterloo, Ontario Salary range is expected to be between $65,775.00 CAD - $109,625.00 CAD If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
