COMPANY OVERVIEW




The Prairie Payments Joint Venture (PPJV) is a joint venture owned by three Prairie centrals created to digitally transform and modernize payment services for credit unions in the Prairies. PPJV's goal is to ensure prairie credit unions are competitive in payments and have access to efficient, modernized payments processing infrastructure.

ROLE SUMMARY:


Prairie Payments Joint Venture (PPJV) is undergoing a payments modernization initiative and requires an experienced Training and Development Specialist for 18 months, responsible to the design and delivery of training workshops, training materials in various forms of mediums such as webinars, facilitation both in person and on-line and other educational presentations on a wide variety of corporate subjects. The purpose of the training is to provide PPJV's clients and employees with a thorough understanding of PPJV's products and services and their functionality and application. To achieve this end, the Training and Development Specialist is also responsible for researching materials in preparation for workshop creation, as well as the management of subject matter and course materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership for developing and directing training initiatives for PPJV's customers and employees. Identify gaps in product knowledge and new processes by completing training needs assessment with clients. Identify relevant training methods including instructor-led training, web-based training, video training, eLearning, and train the trainer sessions. Research, design, and deliver training that is efficient and effective. Ensure client needs and training objectives are met to ensure a positive impact on the organization. Participate in project team meetings as assigned. Coordinate and prepare the training facilities, including training systems. Create and manage training schedules. Evaluate and measure training success, continuously improving methods and delivery. Maintain knowledge of trends and current & emerging technology in related discipline. All other duties as assigned

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years of direct work experience as a corporate trainer in the financial industry. Direct knowledge of instructor-led, web-based and video training methodologies. Direct experience assessing training needs, creating training materials to fulfill those needs, and then delivering the training. Excellent at creating high quality presentations using a variety of technologies (e.g. Zoom, Teams, Microsoft PowerPoint, Slido). Advanced written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of learning. Demonstrated ability to train, coach, evaluate, and improve others. Able to custom-fit training materials around individual needs. Excellent listening, observing, and questioning skills. Some travel may be required.
