Traffic Controller Profile and Responsibilities:



We are seeking a skilled and dedicated

Traffic Controller

to join our team in Calgary. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for and not limited to:

Perform traffic management and bay door operations to ensure Collections Trucks can enter, perform tasks, and exit the Facilities in a safe and efficient manner. Assist team members with daily inspections of receiving feedstock and separation of non-compostable products and materials. Perform daily inspections and minor maintenance of mobile rolling stock and stationary equipment to ensure compliance, safety, and optimum performance. Participate in various labor activities and handy work including but not limited to cleaning, materials management and facilities maintenance and improvements based on defined expectations and deliverables. Collaborate with team members to assign daily tasks, prioritize activities and deliver outstanding performance and quality. Complete all documents and reports in a timely and accurate manner. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, respirator etc.) as required. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Knowledge & familiarity with manufacturing and production environment preferred. Mechanical and electrical aptitude including a knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, and maintenance, considered an asset but not required. Think, Live and Deliver Safety First behaviors and core fundamentals. High degree of focus and attention to detail delivering quality and getting the job done right. Valid Class 5 Driver's License required. Experience in operating Skid Steer, Zoom Boom, and Aerial work platforms will be considered an asset.

Working Conditions:



Odorous environment. Frequent exposure to excessive noise, dirt, and dust. Work is mostly inside facility but occasionally outside. Fast paced environment. Regular hours of work will be 44 hours per week. Overtime available. Specifically, qualified candidates MUST be available to work a schedule that includes weekends.

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour
