Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Traffic Control Supervisor to execute the Project's Traffic Management Plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role is crucial in coordinating between various departments, ensuring that all projects are executed with safety at the forefront.

Responsibilities

Implementing traffic control plans according to project requirements. Assess and Adjust measures as conditions change. Oversee the use of various traffic control devices to direct traffic and secure roadways. Ensure that work zones are safe for workers and the public. Identifying and mitigating potential hazards. Ensure that traffic control personnel (TCPs) are trained and certified. Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. Coordinate with multiple subcontractors and team members. Maintain accurate records and daily logs.

Requirements

2+ years proven experience in Construction Industry. Valid BC Traffic Control Certification. Thorough understanding of the BC Traffic Management Manual 2020. Knowledge of traffic best practices, traffic regulations, and conditions is required. Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effectively oversee a large on-site traffic control crew. Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word and Excel. Ability to work variable shift work, that may include nightshifts or weekends Valid Class 5 drivers' license.

Schedule

Shifts vary and weekends may be required. Average of 50-72 hours a week
This Project is being executed under a Project Labour Agreement. All successful candidates for this role will need to sign up to the relevant union.

Benefit Plans are administered through the union.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.27 per hour
