You will be required to have a TCP ticket/certification, maintain and cellular phone and have a reliable vehicle. YOU MUST HAVE A BCCSA TCP CERTIFICATE TO APPLY. YOU WILL NOT BE CONTACTED UNLESS YOU ARE CERTIFIED IN BRITISH COLUMBIA.

Responsibilities:

- Direct traffic and ensure the safe and efficient flow of vehicles
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs
- Communicate with drivers and pedestrians to provide directions or instructions
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed
- Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors or appropriate authorities
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Ability to build and dismantle traffic control devices
- Knowledge of paving operations and materials
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with drivers and pedestrians
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate placement of traffic control devices such as AFAD

Qualifications:

BCCSA TCP Certification required Excellent communications skills Must have drivers licence and transportation Experience in traffic control for at least 6 months - 1 year Familiarity with creating TMPs is an asset
