Summary

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Controller to join our team in Halifax. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic on construction sites, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Responsibilities

Direct and manage traffic flow on construction sites to ensure safety. Coordinate with heavy equipment operators to facilitate smooth operations. Monitor site conditions and adjust traffic control measures as necessary. Communicate effectively with team members and the public regarding site activities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols. Assist in setting up and dismantling traffic control devices. Report any incidents or hazards to management promptly. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Traffic Controller or similar role in construction.
Strong knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety regulations. Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, and dump trucks. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to read blueprints and understand construction site layouts is a plus.
