We are seeking an experienced and passionate Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture Provider to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. This is a rare opportunity--one of its kind in downtown Hamilton. Our newly renovated 20,000 sq. ft. medical and wellness clinic features private treatment rooms and an on-site studio gym equipped for both practitioner and client use.
Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, the TCM/Acupuncturist will play an essential role in delivering therapeutic treatments that address physical, mental, and medical conditions, supporting the overall well-being of our clients. Your expertise in Traditional Chinese Medicine, combined with a collaborative mindset, will strengthen our multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
We are currently seeking to add another
part-time Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
to join our growing team of dedicated health professionals.

Our dedicated administrative staff manage patient inquiries, scheduling, and payments, allowing you to focus fully on providing exceptional treatment without administrative interruptions.
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Treatment:
Conduct thorough Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture assessments and consultation of conditions, considering medical history and diagnostic information
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings
Perform acupuncture treatments according to established protocols and best practices
Utilize additional traditional Chinese medicine modalities such as cupping therapy, herbal medicine, and dietary recommendations as appropriate
Patient Education:
Educate clients on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine and lifestyle modifications to support their health goals
Educate clients on strategies for ongoing wellness
Foster a supportive and empowering environment for clients
Promote preventative measures to enhance overall well-being
Educate and highlight other services and providers and cross refer, as needed
Qualifications:
Certification/Registration:
Must possess a valid certification or registration as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (TCMP) or Acupuncturist issued by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPA)
Educational Background:
Completion of an accredited program in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) or Acupuncture from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in the principles and practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including an understanding of Yin and Yang theory, Five Elements theory, and the concept of Qi (energy) flow within the body
Acupuncture Skills
Competence in acupuncture techniques, including the ability to perform acupuncture point selection, needle insertion, and manipulation according to established protocols and best practices
4. Herbal Recommendations (Not Required, Considered an Asset)
Experience in herbal formulations and a deep understanding of the properties and actions and how they interact with one another in various combinations and ability to prescribe them to clients based on their diagnosis and selecting specific herbs that address the root cause of the patient's condition while also alleviating symptoms
Ethical Conduct:
Adherence to the highest ethical standards in patient care, including maintaining patient confidentiality, respecting cultural beliefs and practices, and obtaining informed consent prior to treatment
Regulatory Compliance
Knowledge of and compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in Ontario, including the standards of practice set forth by the CTCMPAO
Continuing Education
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning to stay current with advancements in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture techniques, and related fields through continuing education courses, workshops, and seminars.
Collaborative Team Player
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to patients
9. Professional Liability Insurance:
Requirement to carry professional liability insurance as mandated by the CTCMPAO for practice in Ontario
