We are currently seeking an Associate in our Toronto office, located in the heart of the financial district. Demonstrating sound decision-making aptitude and delivery of customer service excellence, the Associate will be responsible for the overall maintenance and execution of derivatives trading (hedging), including but not limited to: \xc2\xb7 Execution of commodity and currency hedging, including futures, forwards and options \xc2\xb7 Reconciliation of trading positions \xc2\xb7 Entry and distribution of trades \xc2\xb7 Miscellaneous financial reporting \xc2\xb7 Trading compliance checks The role will also include general support for treasury activities as required from time to time including: \xc2\xb7 Co-ordinating and directing fund transfers and producing cash management reports as required. \xc2\xb7 Co-ordinating the booking, withdrawal and repayments of various loans as required \xc2\xb7 Co-ordinating the day-to-day requests of receivables insurance as required \xc2\xb7 Co-ordinating cash settlements of foreign exchange trades as required \xc2\xb7 Producing monthly and weekly borrowing base calculations as required \xc2\xb7 Counterparty compliance checks \xc2\xb7 Other ad hoc projects as required The ideal candidate would have the following key characteristics: \xc2\xb7 Able to work independently/within a team environment \xc2\xb7 Strong Excel proficiency \xc2\xb7 Strong written, oral and presentation skills \xc2\xb7 University degree \xc2\xb7 High attention to detail \xc2\xb7 Strong organizational skills and focus \xc2\xb7 Works well under pressure \xc2\xb7 Quick thinker \xc2\xb7 Ability to carry out detailed data analysis \xc2\xb7 Strong problem solving skills Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Enrollment or completion of an accounting, economics, business or applicable designation program \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively \xc2\xb7 Ability to work within a dynamic fast-paced, work environment If you are interested in working for a growing company, we would love to hear from you!
