We are looking to add additional talent to join our Toronto office. The Trademark Assistant will provide assistance to professionals primarily in the trademark and copy right areas of IP.
Experience:
One to two years relevant trademark working experience
Due date management, saving emails and electronic documents
Review client instructions and take appropriate action with the direction of the
professional
Replying to status checks on TM applications
Providing clients with cost estimates for TM applications, searches etc.
Sending and following up on invoices
Communication with clients and associates.
Qualifications:
Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate or Law Clerk Degree
Familiarity with IP docketing and DMS software
Proven experience working in an electronic trademark environment
Strong working knowledge of legal software and standard MS Office software
(Word, Excel)
Proactive, problem-solving skills
Solid time management skills, able to work on assignments from multiple
professionals
Excellent attention to detail and work product presentation
Bilingual - French and English would be an asset.
