Job Description


We are seeking a dynamic Trade Marketing Manager with a passion for sports marketing to join our client on a 24-month contract basis. This role will be pivotal in driving marketing activations for key retail partners, focusing on enhancing brand visibility, driving sales, and fostering strong relationships within the sporting goods industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in trade marketing, strong project management skills, and a keen understanding of digital marketing strategies, and a passion for sports.Advantages

- Collaborate with the sales and category merchandising teams to develop seasonal account plans, tool requirements, and timelines, ensuring timely completion of seasonal deliverables.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and retail partners, advocating for account needs and briefing/collaborating with Category Communications Teams.
- Develop and execute marketing activations for key retail partners, with a focus on in-store activations, retail events, and digital/social media campaigns.
- Partner with retail partners and the Digital Marketing team to develop and implement paid media programs aimed at driving brand awareness and sales.
- Own timelines and communication regarding account plans and tool building, proactively addressing delays and holding stakeholders accountable to deadlines.
- Manage account budgets and individual program budgets, balancing creative disruptiveness with spending efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with global procurement policies by submitting estimates and opening purchase orders for goods and services.
- Collaborate with Global/US teams to address any additional marketing needs not covered by Category Communications Plans.
- Ensure alignment with the Global/Market Brand Calendar, prioritize campaigns, and allocate account budgets accordingly.
- Provide internal reporting on the timeliness of deliverables and the performance of trade marketing initiatives.
- Cultivate relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, as well as counterparts in the US and Global offices.
- Represent the Brand Activation team during the sell-in process and Pre-Line Meetings, presenting proposed account plans as needed.
- Manage agency relationships to ensure programs are executed on budget and deliver value consistently.Qualifications
- Post Secondary Degree / Diploma with a major in marketing preferred.
- 2-3 years of post-graduate work experience in marketing or advertising.
- Experience in managing customers, vendors, and external agencies.
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing creative development and production.
- Knowledge and/or experience in the sporting goods industry is an asset.
- Sales experience is beneficial but not required.
- Experience in Digital Marketing is highly desirable.
