UTILITIES OPERATOR - EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Position Summary:

The Town of Langham is currently accepting applications for an in-scope position of Utilities Operator.

Salary:

Salary Range: $54,558 to $63,668 (in accordance with the CUPE Local 5341 CBA)

Qualifications:

1. Grade 12 education or equivalent


2. Level II Wastewater Operators certificate (collection / treatment)


3. Level II Water Operators certificate (treatment / distribution)


4. Valid Class 5 drivers license


5. Physically fit


6. Ability to operate or learn to operate motorized mechanical equipment.


7. Join CUPE Union Local 5341.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties in this job description include but are not limited to the maintenance and/or operation of the


following lands and facilities:


- Water Treatment Plant and yard - Wells - Streets, Roads and Lanes


- Lagoon - Storm Sewers - Transfer Station


Water and sewer distribution System
Responsibilities and duties in this job description include but are not limited to the skilled operation of the following


machinery and equipment:


- Sewer Camera - Leak Listener - Tractor/Skid Steer


- Compressor - Water line locator - Water line Thawing Machine


- Neptune Water Meter Reading System - Sewer Auger

Qualifications:

1. Grade 12 or equivalent.


2. Level II Wastewater Operator's Certification (collection and treatment and Level II Water Operator's Certificate


(treatment and distribution).


3. Clean driver's abstract.


4. A criminal record check.
