Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and highly organized Towing Dispatcher to join our team. The dispatcher will be responsible for managing and coordinating towing requests, ensuring efficient communication between customers, drivers, and internal staff. This role plays a key part in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and optimizing response times for roadside assistance and vehicle towing services.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and prioritize incoming service requests via phone, GPS tracking software, and dispatch platforms. Dispatch tow trucks promptly and accurately based on location, availability, and urgency. Communicate with drivers throughout the shift to provide updates, directions, and support. Maintain accurate records of all tows, services, time logs, and customer interactions. Monitor the status of jobs and update dispatch software in real-time. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide ETA updates as needed. Work closely with law enforcement, roadside assistance programs (e.g., AAA), and insurance companies. Assist with scheduling and coordinating driver shifts, as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and local/state towing regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, customer service, or the towing/automotive industry (preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities under pressure. Familiarity with GPS systems, dispatch software, and basic computer applications. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or emergency situations. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, if needed.

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced office environment. May require working in shifts, including overnight or on-call hours. Requires prolonged periods sitting and working at a computer or communication station.

Requirements

Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role is preferred. Familiarity with supply chain processes and freight management is highly desirable. Proficient in data entry with strong attention to detail. Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus. Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of organization. Proficiency in using phone systems for effective communication.
