About the opportunity...
As an integral part of the "we can do that" operation, this position is responsible to co-ordinate the smooth flow of vehicle maintenance/repair/service work throughout the shop ensuring efficiency and deadlines. Specifically:
Regulate flow of vehicle maintenance/repair/service work through department to ensure timely completion
Prioritize and dispatch work for the shop
Schedule shop work to ensure efficiency
Maintain shop capacity, efficiency and productivity
Assign work to Technicians based on availability and skill set
Monitor vehicle repair progress
Review repair orders completed in Technicians to ensure completion of assigned work
Ensure warranty time allotments on repair orders are accurate for warranty repairs; prepare and reconcile warranty claims/invoices
Communicate completion times and promises with Service Advisors
About you....
Ideal candidates will have a:
three (3) proven experience scheduling work in an automotive maintenance facility/dealership
sound vehicle mechanical knowledge
familiarity with automotive terminology and manufacturer warranties and procedures preferred
solid understanding of and proven experience with work flow and planning
proficiency working with ERP systems (ie. CDK), and Microsoft Office software (ie. Excel, Word, Outlook)
strong ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
ability to maintain internal controls
strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
self-motivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution
a desire to work in a high energy, fast-paced environment
