About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Benefits & Pension you will play a key role in coordinating benefits & pension activities and participate in projects for enhancing our Total Rewards offerings.
Key Responsibilities: Support the Benefits & Pension function, focused on plan administration, systems configurations, query resolution, vendor management and communications while liaising with other teams, and third-party providers.
Responsible for administration of our pension programs, group insurance benefits, Service Awards, Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) and Group RRSP programs
Supports with reports and analysis ensuring employees have met eligibility criteria (including PT hours analysis) and enrolled in programs as per plan design.
Smooth execution of recurring benefits and pension procedures to enable process flows between Total Rewards, Payroll and our vendors, ensuring data integrity of records and programs are administered accurately per vendor contracts, union collective agreements
Ensures procedures are regularly updated are in place to ensure smooth processing and conducts audits to identify and rectify gaps
Supports execution of activities required for Dayforce Benefits & Pension management
Supports Pension and Benefit Specialists with administration and communications
Coordinates communications for our Wellbeing programs and events with our vendors and the team
Helps manage the Total Rewards central email responding to inquiries on a timely, professional and courteous basis
Prepares and distributes employee correspondence, individual emails and mail merge communications
Maintains Total Rewards content on the Corus Central intranet ensuring program and process information is easy to find, easy to understand and enables self-service
Oversees employee discount program including sourcing, implementing, and communicating programs
Develops relationship with vendors, attends program management meetings and supports management team with agreed upon initiatives and next steps
Provides support to Senior Manager, Benefits and Pension with special projects
Attends benefits, pension and wellness information sessions to stay informed on Total Rewards trends
Oversees all maternity leave processes including top up schedules, pre-payment of benefits, collecting payments, submitting payment spreadsheets to Payroll and Finance for processing and employee communications

Exposure to Benefits & Pension Operations is an asset
Keenness to learn about Benefits & Pension
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate information professionally
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
Attention to detail and auditing skills utilizing Excel formulas
Sound capabilities using Word, PowerPoint and HR/payroll systems
Well-developed prioritization, time management and multi-tasking skills
Collaborative working and willingness to go the extra mile
