As Total Rewards Administrator, you will have a focus on benefits, leave management, pension, and rewards programs, policies, and processes but may also support the compensation function as needed. This includes responding to employee inquiries, administering leaves of absence, processing bulk recognition requests, supporting pension processes and committee administration, and liaising with internal departments and external vendors. The Administrator provides information, escalates issues as needed, and helps resolve non-complex matters as they arise.
This is an entry level position with no formal HR experience required. Internal applications will be accepted until October 31, 2025.
What you'll do:
Provide guidance and direction to employees regarding benefits related issues and documentation requirements (i.e. digital wallet card, enrolment questions).
Benefits invoice processing and review of biweekly deduction file to flag and investigate unusual employee deductions.
Provide employees with group benefits, pension, and rewards and recognition introduction as part of the New Employee Orientation program (in office)
Prepare draft compensation letters for review by PX Business Partners and/or Talent Acquisition
Administer the leave management processes and return to work programs. Liaises with PX Business Partner/ employee/ manager to submit required paperwork. Meticulously track and document the disability process for each claim as per the process. Liaise with disability case manager to provide any requested information.
Support people leaders and the PX Business Partners by providing guidance and knowledge to help manage the end-to-end disability leave processes for standard and straightforward claims.
Support the quarterly People Experience Committee (PXC) including coordinating the disability data and reports required to be included in the PXC and Pension Committee uploads to the Board portal. Update pension dashboard, as needed, and aligned with pension committee cycle.
Support pension plan administration as required, including tasks such as, the processing of all invoicing for the various plans, and review annual Employee Pension Plan pension return statement template for accuracy. Works with pension consultants, external administrators, and employees to coordinate the end-to-end employee pension packages process for required plans.
Primary backup to People Experience Administrator, providing day-to-day support during high volume transaction periods and coverage for paid time off.
Support the Total Rewards team with projects and other tasks as needed
What you bring:
Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources or a related discipline is an asset.
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist certification is an asset.
1 years' experience in Human Resources with benefit, pension, or leave management experience as an asset or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with a variety of stakeholders and audiences, from employees to senior management.
Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to produce quality work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
Technology orientation with basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to maintain a high degree of sensitivity and exercise sound judgment and discretion with respect to confidential material.
Proficient planning and organizational skills.
What We Offer:
Prospera offers a total compensation package of base salary plus incentives that is market competitive and reviewed annually. Our expected starting salary for this role is $45,200 to $56,500 based on the successful candidate's knowledge, experience and internal equity.
