Manifesting chefs' love affairs with East Asia's diverse repertoire of noodle creations, Tori Dori is downtown Halifax's go-to spot for pho, ramen, laksa, lo mein, curry, and more. In addition to these mainstays, Tori Dori serves a clever cross-section of globally inspired small plates for snacking and sharing. Valuing quality above all else, Tori Dori's chefs take pride in their technique, presentation, and attention to detail, using only the best ingredients available.



Under the direction of the Chef de Cuisine, Tori Dori is looking for a Line Cook.

What you will be doing:

prepping food items for service preparing food to order maintaining a clean work area preparing food according to standardized recipes and menu specifications adjusting cooking methods based on customer preferences or dietary restrictions collaborating with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations completing all mandatory food hygiene and safety training that must be kept up to date such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time

The person we are looking for has:

experience working in a fast-paced kitchen as a line cook or prep cook a passion for food knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedure experience cooking Asian cuisine is considered an asset strong attention to detail and commitment to quality flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Food Safe Certification
