The Tools Software Engineer will be responsible for delivering the tools that are used by Live Content producers to support many dynamic features in our game. As such, the successful candidate would work closely with our internal customers to design, develop, and deliver new features or to upgrade the existing ones. So, whether you prefer working on new functionality, improving existing implementation, or fixing production issues, you will have the chance to contribute to applications that have an impact across the entire EA Sports FC project.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with producers, designers, artists and other engineers to develop user-friendly tools; easy to manage and efficient pipelines; and optimal workflows that aid in the development and iteration of game content.
  • Analyze workflows and bottlenecks in the content production process, and identify opportunities to leverage automation to implement practical solutions.
  • Devise and implement methods to optimally store and transform data along the offline tool processing chain.
  • Implement new features and improve existing ones in workflow tools using C# and C++.
  • Help troubleshoot issues the team encounters locally as well as with the tools themselves in a patient and understanding manner.
  • Identify 3rd party solutions and integrate them into our workflow where appropriate.
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ of professional software development experience with C#/.NET,
Core, REST API * Understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with Single Page Application frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.js
  • Understanding of writing efficient SQL queries
  • Experience with source control software such as Git or Perforce
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with test-driven development and unit testing frameworks such as NUnit, XUnit
  • Experience with Cloud technologies
