SCOPE OF WORK



Take and comprehend direction/instruction from Tool Room Lead Hand. Required to lay out and perform operations to produce or repair tools, such as, jigs, dies/ progressive dies, fixtures, gauges, as well as special machine tools, components, prototypes, etc. from drawings, samples, and tool instructions. Participate in Continuous Improvement activities. Adherence to all ISO procedures Assures all required codes/regulations/safety standards are adhered to. Report any variation to safety, quality, or production guidelines and procedures to supervisor. Assists with the inspections of close tolerance work. Sets up new tools for testing purposes Must be able to produce simple drawings and use shop mathematics. Ability to utilise shop floor tools- drills, lathes, grinders, mills, tec. (manual or CNC). Must be familiar with shop techniques, general shop equipment and shop-run tolerances. Standard die troubleshooting and repair. Ongoing support to production. Reading and interpreting CAD, sketches, blueprints Proven experience in fixture design and build Strong communications skills and have a demonstrated ability to work with and involve others. Ensure that a high level of customer service and shop support is maintained. Familiarity with CMMS and Work Order Systems

MUST HAVE:



Relevant C of Q and 3 years' experience Ontario College 3 Year Tool & Die Certificate
