Tire Technician - Medium Truck / Commercial / OTR

City Tire & Auto (Corner Brook)

is seeking an experienced Tire Technician to join its customer focused and safety-oriented team.

Work Expectation

Install, repair or replace tires and wheels of commercial vehicles. Review work orders and discuss work with management and/or customer. Inspect tire / wheel operation, and test tire, wheel and components for repair or replacement needs. Able to work independently with little supervision. Ability to operate a Tire Service Truck independently. Attention to detail. Good computer skills. Good communication skills both verbal & written. Hours of Operation is 8:00AM to 5:00PM - Monday thru Friday. Permanent position.

The Ideal Candidate

A skilled Tire Technician with more than two years experience that works well within a team environment. Completion of a Commercial Vehicle Wheel/Rim Installation Certificate Program. Willing and eager to work with passenger and light truck tire techs to enable their progression in the trade. Must be able and willing to take assignments as directed from management team. A valid driver's license is non-negotiable. Applicant must provide a satisfactory driver's abstract. Air brake endorsement or a Class 3 Driver's License would be beneficial.

Compensation

Competitive compensation:

$17.61- $22.43

per hour for experienced commercial tire technicians. Plus incentive based earnings.
