We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire and Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a passion for automotive repair. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, ensuring vehicles are operating efficiently, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires the ability to work with hand and power tools while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Collaborate with other technicians to maintain high-quality service standards.
Lift heavy equipment and parts as necessary during service operations.
Tire Services: mounting/installation, balance & rotation, and flat repairs
Lube Services: draining/filling, filter checks & replacements, and general inspections
Customer Service: communicating directly to customers or Service personnel
Documentation: ensure proper storage of tires, documenting of rotation for future reference
Shop Related: general housekeeping, Health & Safety compliance, shop supply replenishment, and assisting in other areas as needed
Qualifications
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
Must be available to work full-time, 5 days a week and Saturdays when required
Current, valid, and clean driver's license
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities on a daily basis
Experience
Previous experience in an automotive repair or dealership environment is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
