Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tile laying and flooring installation, with a strong understanding of blueprint reading and the ability to work with various hand tools. This role is essential in ensuring that all tile installations are completed to the highest standards, providing our clients with beautiful and durable surfaces.

Duties

Measure and cut tiles to fit designated areas according to specifications. Lay tiles in a pattern that meets design requirements while ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar. Apply caulking and grout to finished tile installations for a polished look. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and general contractors, to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing minor repairs as needed. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role in flooring installation. Proficiency in blueprint reading to accurately interpret design plans. Strong skills in tile laying techniques and knowledge of different types of tiles. Familiarity with hand tools used in tile installation, including trowels, cutters, and levels. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
