Alberta Theatre Projects (ATP) is in its 51st season (2025-2026) of producing live, professional, contemporary theatre in Calgary. ATP is a not-for-profit organization known for supporting new play development.

About the position
Reporting to the Manager - Sales & Marketing, this is a part-time position with shifts occurring during evenings and weekends when there is a production on stage; with occasional hours in the administration office during the day.
You'll work independently as the only ticketing professional for the shows you're scheduled for, offering a friendly and helpful experience to patrons picking up tickets, buying tickets, or inquiring about anything related to their purchases.
You will also work in the administrative office to help with sales strategies managed by the Ticket Office; assist patrons with ticketing inquiries over the phone and provide other organizational support.
This position requires a flexible work schedule due to the operational needs of ATP and events taking place, including frequent evening, weekend, and holiday work.

Responsibilities
Assisting patrons in person with ticketing requests of all types
Maintaining positive relations with the public through the delivery of exceptional customer service
Selling subscriptions and gift cards in the lobby during intermission
Liaising with Front-of-House staff to answer patron queries and resolve seating issues
Participating in outbound calling on our telemarketing sales campaigns
Maintaining accurate information in our ticketing and database software
Providing support to the department with various organizational duties
Other duties as assigned
Job requirements:
Strong organizational skills necessary to prioritize and manage concurrent initiatives
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of self-motivation
The ability to work both independently and within a team
Previous experience in sales will be a strong asset for this role
Experience on ticketing software is an asset, but training will be provided
An appreciation for the arts and for theatre
Enthusiastic team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Must possess the ability to solve patron concerns as they arise and communicate well with a wide range of patrons and volunteers
Must be comfortable and productive in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
Must be well organized, decisive, and have good follow-through skills
A professional demeanor and experience/ability in dealing with discerning patrons
The successful candidate must be available for a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week during each production throughout the season (see our current season production schedule here). These positions are flexible, part-time, and shift based, and require weekend and evening work during the run of a production.
