Position Summary;

River Rock Casino Resort is seeking a qualified individual interested in furthering their career as a Ticket Agent. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Box Office, Manager. Our ticket agent will be responsible for event night selling of tickets and providing superior customer service in person to guests.

Duties and responsibilities for our Ticket Agent will include:

  • Process in-person ticket orders for Show Theatres and Ticketmaster on show night
  • Provide customer support for Box Office inquiries and ticket orders
  • Provide proactive customer service
  • Assists in solving complaints, upholding the company\'s reputation for excellent customer service
  • Process lost ticket requests; look up information; prepare passes; instruct guests on use of passes; and inform ushers of special circumstances, when necessary (e.g. wristbands, early access to venue, meet & greets, etc.)
  • Prepare any special request requirements for smooth operations on event night (e.g. wristbands, ticket scanner preparations, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable of current and future events at the Show Theatres and knowledge of events sold through Ticketmaster.
  • Manage end of night event reporting if necessary.
  • Manage inventory for necessary supplies for Box Office with Box Office Manager
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the guidelines, practices, rules, policies and procedures established by GCE, BCLC and Ticketmaster
  • Report any concerns or problems to Box Office Manager
  • Other duties as requested.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
  • Experience and/or interest in the live entertainment industry - communicates effectively and enjoys people.
  • Experience operating a Computerized ticketing system (Ticketmaster)
  • Good communication, research and computer skills are essential.
  • Intermediate understanding of PC operations
  • Ability to troubleshoot PC problems independently, and follow direction over the telephone to resolve IT issues
  • Ability to quickly learn to use new software programs
  • Knowledge of ticketing platforms (Ticketmaster), MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to interpret graphical charts and explain to guests
  • Experience with cash handling (if applicable)
  • Strong decision making skills with ability to take initiative
  • Minimum 1 year experience with GCE
  • Team Player
  • Comfortable being guests facing customer service representative for theatre shows
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The scheduled hours of work will be based on business needs.
