We are seeking a dedicated and personable Thrift Store Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, retail experience, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic setting. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, as is familiarity with merchandising, POS systems, and store management operations. Responsibilities



Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping experience Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Price merchandise appropriately and ensure proper signage is displayed Restock shelves and organize items to maintain an attractive store layout Manage inventory levels through purchasing and merchandising strategies Handle cash, process payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity Assist in supervising store operations, including training new staff or volunteers when needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, fitting rooms, and back stock areas Support marketing efforts by promoting sales events or special campaigns Engage in customer service activities that foster positive relationships within the community

Skills



Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members Organizational skills for managing inventory, pricing, and store layout effectively Experience with retail sales, cashiering, and POS systems Leadership or supervising experience preferred for team management responsibilities Bilingual or multilingual abilities advantageous for serving diverse customer bases Negotiation skills useful for vendor relations or purchasing decisions Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts Administrative experience including bookkeeping, payroll, or budgeting is beneficial Customer service excellence with phone etiquette and conflict resolution capabilities Marketing knowledge to support promotional activities and store branding efforts Training & development skills for onboarding new team members or volunteers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
