Dana's TM4 division, located at Boucherville, is specialized in the design and development of electric motors and inverters, meant to be used within commercial and light vehicles.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

PURPOSE:
As an intern, mechanical analysis, you will be an active member of the mechanical analysis team. Your role will be, but not limited to, make sure the products (motors and drives) will be compliant to the structural requirements (vibrations, thermal environment, performance...). You will be involved, as an intern, in the continuous improvement activities. Your work will help the mechanical analysis team to improve their documentation management tools.
You will be part of a team of 8 dynamic and passionate engineers who will guide you in your work. You will have the opportunity to participate in the innovation of tomorrow's electric motors, whose performance rivals the best manufacturers like Lucid Air, Tesla, and many others!
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compile, Analize and Synthetize mechanical tests results
Work with the mechanical analysis and design team members by participating in the continuous improvement activities
Develop an internal tool in Python capable of plotting and analyzing various test and analysis data.
All other related tasks
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanical Engineering student
Advanced programming knowledge (Python)
Knowledge in structural and/or thermal analysis (FEA, an asset).
Ability to investigate and solve technical problems.
Being proactive, ease to work and communicate in a multidisciplinary team.
Asset: Knowledge in domains such as non-linear analysis, modal analysis, metal fatigue, vibrations (sine, random, shocks), bolted joints..
