What Does an Administrative Clerk Do?
The Administrative Clerk will contribute to the successful operations within the Miller Maintenance, Marathon team. This outcome will be achieved by supporting day-to-day office functions and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of office administrative duties, including payroll, issuing purchase orders, matching POs to invoices and processing for payments.
As an Administrative Clerk, You Will:
Prepare routine correspondence, forms, and documents; handle incoming and outgoing mail and interoffice communications
Co-ordinate and input payroll data accurately while ensuring deadlines are met
Process layoffs, transfers, new hire and rehire paperwork for full time and seasonal staff
Filing of various employee documents, records, etc.
Coordinate and assist staff with purchases through preferred vendors
Coordinate and track subcontractor agreements
Verify, code, and match incoming invoices
Update various spreadsheets and tracking tools (SharePoint, shared drive, etc.) with respect to company data such as safety statistics, equipment tracking, asset tracking (laptops, phones, etc.), project database, etc.
Create, track/maintain, and enter purchase orders for processing with invoices
Maintain office supplies and equipment (fax, photocopier, etc.), order office supplies and provide administrative support to the field crew and other office staff
Assist with the coordination of meetings and training
Support management team as required
What You\'ll Bring:
Construction/highway maintenance industry experience, an asset
Experience with JD Edwards, HeavyJob, Onbase considered an asset
2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of administrative experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Ability to follow instructions and willingness to learn new concepts
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication (written and verbal)
Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
