Department Overview

The North American Customer Operations (NACO) Quality Assurance team consists of QA professionals who focus on providing a broad range of quality assurance and testing activities, ensuring established standards are met and planned objectives are achieved. We work collaboratively with various business units and their subject matter experts to ensure that any risks associated with the businesses are managed appropriately and effectively during delivery of quality solutions and applications.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years' experience in related QA support actives required
  • Displayed good understanding of quality assurance practices, methodologies, and tools
  • Measurable adequate comprehension of contact centre operations and business objectives
  • Displayed relevant understanding of test environment and contact centre applications being supported based on project interactions
  • Measurable sufficient understanding of TD Bank Group and enterprise solutions
  • Knowledge of bank and technology standards (e.g., infrastructure, architecture, processes, applications) and managing projects
  • Understanding of businesses and/or organizational practices/disciplines
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is able to streamline existing processes or identify new opportunities and have the drive and ability to bring them to life
  • Great problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and initiatives at the same time with good multi-tasking skills and capability to perform under pressure
  • High level of comfort working on initiatives that are less defined or without established processes where decision-making proficiency is required

Reporting to the QA Manager, the QA Analyst will be accountable for:
  • Lead QA on assigned projects from medium to mid-high tier initiatives
  • Make appropriate decisions, understand urgency of situations, raise awareness and/or escalate as required
  • Provide estimations on testing activities such as test preparation, execution and closure
  • Define testing approach by collaborating with project team, including other testing partners
  • Manage all QA activities and coordinate with other QA/QE teams and test partners on assigned projects
  • Participate in Release planning and Sprint planning to provide inputs from testing perspective for Agile and PDLC projects
  • Review the Requirements Package (RP) or User Stories/Acceptance Criteria for accuracy and use it as the main reference materials to create QA test documentation
  • Deliver QA test documentation such as creation of Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Matrix, Test Cases and Closure Report prior to test execution commence
  • Create and maintain the regression test suite for every application we support
  • Ensure the Test Cases and/or Scenarios are traceable to the RP scope items or User Stories, and written in a manner which can be validated according to expected results
  • Manage and facilitate review sessions of test documentation including obtain sign-off from business or product owners
  • Identify testing risks and manage them accordingly for respective project deliverables
  • Identify all QA test data requirements and estimates for delivery
  • Maintain test data, including but not limited to: Test ID's, staging of accounts, access to test environments, managing thresholds, processes for acquiring new accounts, maintaining test account tool, etc.
  • Create, manage, condition and retain active test data for functional and regression testing
  • Identify and raise potential scope creep during testing phase, and follow the PCR process as required
  • Perform defect management including but not limited to: assign severity and priority, assign to QA, BA or DEV during the defect management life cycle, participate in defect investigation process and meetings, re-test after defect fixes, etc.
  • Assess and contribute to timelines and changing resource demands
  • Manage required sign off to exit BAT/BOT phase and preparation for PAT support
  • Work with internal and external business partners to ensure effective communication, integration of project issues and deliverables, and clear articulation of test cases within area of responsibility
  • Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues and problems, and provide recommendations for prompt resolution
  • Be the advocate for quality assurance activities with colleagues, business partners, vendors, and clients
