About The Role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time SAP Business Systems Analyst III to join our dynamic Information Technology division on the Hospital Experience Team..

This is not just a standard SAP analyst position. We are looking for somebody that is passionate about the power of SAP but also understands it limitations and is willing to drive exceptional user experience using our hospital portal and other web applications. The successful candidate will be someone who can connect people, process, information, and technology, understands logic and interconnected systems. Most importantly, the candidate will be able to assess opportunities and challenges and come up with solutions to both.

The work of an SAP Business Systems Analyst is integral to Canadian Blood Services\' role as Canada\'s Lifeline. In this role, you will be responsible for your respective SAP functional area including Sales & Distribution, Materials Management, Plant Maintenance, ensuring appropriate levels of integration and information sharing between the various groups in IT. You will also be responsible for supporting the use of SAP and its various platforms at Canadian Blood Services. This includes supporting SAP end users, using SAP information to conduct analysis, resolving end user issues, modifying existing SAP functionality and interfaces, and adding new capabilities.

In addition to key SAP responsibilities, you will be looking to provide exceptional user experiences through the Canadian Blood Services Hospital Portal that connects into SAP and eProgesa. You will understand the entire user experience and strive to find ways to streamline transactions and communications both when SAP is involved and when transactions and communications can be done without SAP.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate and strategize with business stakeholders to identify potential solutions and evaluate end user requirements that involve both SAP and non-SAP solutions.
  • Design, configure, and tests solutions.
  • Provide resolutions for unexpected transaction results, SAP master data and reporting issues.
  • Provide resolutions for unexpected user experiences in the hospital portal.
  • Work with the SAP enterprise technical team members for resolution of technical issues; background jobs and error messages.
  • Work with the hospital portal development team members for resolution of technical issues; background jobs and error messages.
  • Assess effort for incoming requests for enhancement work, investigation, and updates in Jira.
  • Share knowledge regarding the design and use of SAP and supporting processes.
  • Work with clients to gather and define requirements for new user stories and enhancements and conduct demos of enhancements.
  • Write user stories, create mock-ups, define business rules.
  • Work with hospital portal and SAP ABAP develops to refine specifications.
  • Implement system changes in the SAP ECC and hospital portal.
  • Develop documentation for system changes and new functionality as per requirements; IMG documentation, quick reference material, security role changes, to-be process and rollout steps.
  • Develop knowledge transfer material for SAP and hospital portal end-users as required.
  • Develop test plans, execute scripts, and document test results in collaboration with the testing team.
  • Assist with regression testing for hospital portal and SAP functions when changes are planned.
  • Ensure that regulated systems and documentation meet regulatory compliance standards.
  • Execute acceptance tasks for SAP system refreshes.
  • Participate in testing for SAP Gui and workstation lab testing.
  • Log issues with SAP Global Support and other third-party vendors.
  • Conduct system testing for your functional area for SAP Support Packs.
Qualifications:
  • The most important qualification is your passion for making the world a better place, specifically with regards to leveraging technology to make another person\'s life easier, improve communication and to make the Canadian Blood Services organization more productive and efficient.
  • Post- secondary level education in a discipline relevant to the functional area being supported from a recognized academic institution, preferably with an SAP certification in appropriate area of equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the functional areas of SAP ECC to be supported including Sales & Distribution, Materials Management (MM), Plant Maintenance (PM).
  • At least 5 years of IT experience supporting SAP Materials Management, Plant Maintenance and Ariba modules including configuration in an SAP ECC enhancement pack 7 environment or greater.
  • Experience with integration of web applications into SAP.
  • Other related business or IT experience would be considered an asset.
  • True enthusiasm to drive user experience.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to conduct business professionally and develop strong working relationships with business partners, external hospital teams and team members and throughout the IT division.
  • Strong configuration experience in designated functional area of expertise.
  • Excellent problem analysis, planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot SAP points of integration including interfaces to third party systems and other SAP modules including SAP Sales and Distribution and Materials Management.
  • Proven experience and skills using SAP services for integration.
  • Experience in building custom web applications including user stories and mockups, business rules, requirements, and testing.
  • Experience with tools including Jira and SAP Solutions Manager.
  • Experience using Office 365.
  • May be required to work occasional evenings or weekends for cutover activities, deployment of SAP configuration changes or upgrades.
