We're looking for a
Test, Validation & Verification Engineer
who thrives on problem solving, precision, and collaboration. You'll play a key role in ensuring our clients' rugged products meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards before they reach the field.
Position Overview
The Test, Validation & Verification Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing comprehensive test programs for ruggedized mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems. This role involves hands-on testing, data analysis, and documentation to verify compliance with design requirements and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Design
Develop test and validation plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria aligned with product specifications, regulatory, and environmental requirements (e.g., MIL-STD, DO-160, IEC, ASTM).
Collaborate with design engineers to define test objectives and methods for mechanical, electrical, and thermal performance.
Select and specify appropriate test equipment, instrumentation, and fixtures.
Execution & Analysis
Conduct or oversee mechanical, thermal, vibration, shock, ingress protection, and environmental stress testing.
Support electrical and functional verification testing as required.
Record, analyze, and interpret test data to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes.
Document test results and prepare detailed technical reports and validation summaries.
Process & Quality
Ensure testing follows established safety, calibration, and quality procedures (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).
Support continuous improvement in test processes, tooling, and data collection.
Work closely with clients to define verification approaches and communicate progress and results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Interface with product design, manufacturing, and reliability teams to support design for testability and qualification readiness.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback based on test outcomes and field performance data.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
3-5 years of experience in test, validation, or verification of ruggedized or mission-critical systems.
Familiarity with standards such as MIL-STD-810, DO-160, IEC 60068, or equivalent.
Technical Skills
Experience with environmental and durability testing (vibration, thermal cycling, shock, humidity, IP testing).
Proficiency with data acquisition systems (NI, LabVIEW, Dewesoft, or similar).
Strong analytical and reporting skills using Excel, MATLAB, or equivalent tools.
Understanding of mechanical design principles and electrical interfaces preferred.

Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and documentation.

Salary Range:
$80k-$120k
