Job Description

Scope

: To test and validate AC Compressors manufactured to ensure that product safety and reliability, performance are met, as per industry/customer standards, customer requirements and expectations. As a part of the quality team, work and/or assist others on development of the new products/processes and propose testing to verify product safety, fit, function and durability, as per engineering specification.

Skills and Qualifications



College diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering with 3 years minimum experience with testing of automotive components and related component instrumentation Must be able to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English. Must be able to relate/communicate well with people at all levels Must have good organizational skills, be a self-starter and a team player. Must be computer literate. A high level of technical judgement for the resolution of the problems involving different technologies. Strong knowledge of instrumentation, electric control and testing techniques. Basic Knowledge of AC compressor, and it is performance Problem solving skills as well as generating creative solutions to design problems Strong knowledge of Automotive Quality requirements including, but not limited to, ISO9001/QS-9001/TS16949. May require occasional travel for work-related purpose i.e. attending training sessions that are beneficial to the role.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Maintains perpetual inventory records of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods. Test and validate AC compressors, modules and systems with minimum supervision. Develop and maintain test specifications and work instructions. Supply customers with technical expertise in the areas of product testing and validation of engine components. Able to carry out/set-up various test equipment and sometimes involving a need to move heavy load. Provides and/or approves written technical reports and maintain test report record system. To work on specific engineering projects as directed by the Quality Supervisor with particular emphasis on new product development, with completion on time and in a cost-efficient manner, with complying to all ISO9001/QS-9000/TS16949 and APQP requirements. Ensures that by applying reliability engineering principles and methods, potential reliability problems are detected at the early stage of the product development cycle and that the level of risk in the product is determined. Ensures that safe working procedures and good housekeeping practices are adhered to at all times as outlined in Hanon Employee Handbook. Occasional travel is to be expected. May be required to work "on-site" at customer locations, or similar, for different periods of time. Able to trouble shoot and conduct investigation using common sense approach Able to understand the AC compressor performance Any other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or his or her designee.
Develop and maintain CMM Programs.

2. Carry out Quality Assurance activities relating to the laboratory to ensure that the customer and the Company's quality targets are met.

3. Develop and maintain the annual layout program.

4. Develop CMM programs and perform inspections for prototype parts required by Hanon ENG R&D Group.

5. Performs layout on products, tooling, gauges, fixtures, and other equipment as requested.

6. Prepare layout reports

7. Assists with the PPAP process

8. Assists with the gauge control process.

9. Perform gauge R&R study, gauge calibration, gauge maintenance, and gauge repair when needed.

10. Ensure that there is sufficient CMM & other measuring equipment hardware (such as probes, stylus,....) and place orders when needed.

11. Participates in quality planning/improvement activities.

12. Responsible for training personnel on CMM and other Lab equipment.
