Summary:



Leading a dedicated team of test operators and technicians, you will oversee all in-house functional, in-circuit, final product testing, and assembly processes. This position is a key leadership role, focusing on process optimization, team development, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Duties:



Team Leadership and Supervision:

Directly supervise and manage the daily activities of the Test team. (e.g., scheduling, assignments, coverage). Responsible for planning, prioritizing and assigning work tasks for both the first and second shift Test teams to ensure continuous production flow and optimal resource utilization. Lead, mentor and motivate the team to achieve testing throughput targets and maintain high levels of quality and First Pass Yield (FPY). Conduct training for new and existing test operators and technicians on procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
Process Management and Improvement:

Ensure all product testing is performed efficiently and accurately according to established work instructions and quality standards. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes to reduce cycle time and lower test-related scrap/rework costs. Manage the preventative maintenance and calibration schedule for all test equipment, jigs, and fixtures
Technical Oversight and Problem Solving:

Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, diagnosis and troubleshooting of failed test equipment, Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), and final assemblies. Collaborate with Technical Services, Quality and Production team to resolve chronic testing failures to reduce future production failures. Manage and facilitate communication with customers concerning test strategy reviews, equipment setup requirements, test program revisions, and root cause analysis for escalated technical problems.
Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality and Process, to align testing schedules with overall business objectives and customer delivery commitments. Communicate daily performance metrics (e.g., throughput, FPY, capacity, KPIs) to the Test Manager and relevant stakeholders.
Culture, Safety, and Compliance:

Ensure all testing procedures adhere to company safety protocols (e.g., ESD prevention) and customer requirements. Foster a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement within the Test department. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient test area.

Education & Experience:



Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience required. Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in electronics testing within a manufacturing environment (ideally contract manufacturing). Minimum of 1-2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or lead technician role. Strong background in various testing methodologies, including In-Circuit Test (ICT), Functional Test (FCT), and fault isolation/diagnosis.

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to ensuring product quality and strict adherence to set processes. Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to read and interpret schematics and technical specifications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management. Proficiency with standard test equipment and automated test platforms. Working knowledge of Microsoft O365 suite, quality systems and continuous improvement tools. Ability to utilize tools such as digital multimeter are required. Radio Frequency (RF) testing experience an asset. Strong communication in English, both written and verbal Strong sense of urgency and prioritization management in a time-sensitive working environment

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
