We are currently seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to oversee procurement for our electronics division and building maintenance operations. This role requires a technically knowledgeable and detail-oriented individual capable of managing both local and overseas purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Electronics Purchasing
Source and purchase electronic components, assemblies, and finished goods from local and overseas suppliers (primarily China).
Review engineering drawings and product specifications to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
Evaluate and qualify vendors for quality, reliability, cost competitiveness, and service performance.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to manage import logistics.
Building Maintenance Contracts
Procure and manage contracts for commercial property maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and general building services.
Negotiate terms and service levels with contractors and vendors to ensure cost-effective and timely execution.
Oversee vendor performance and ensure compliance with company standards and safety requirements.
General Purchasing Management
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment schedules to achieve cost savings.
Maintain and monitor purchasing records, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and accounting teams to ensure alignment of purchasing with operational needs.
Supervise or guide purchasing and logistics staff as required.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Supply Chain, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in electronics manufacturing or technical products.
Strong understanding of electronic components and engineering specifications.
Proven experience with international sourcing and purchasing from China.
Familiarity with commercial building maintenance contracts and vendor management.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and online sourcing platforms.
