Building Maintenance Supervisor

The Building Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all Hamlet Buildings. Work duties can/will include carrying out scheduled inspections, assuring that all necessary maintenance and repairs are attended to, performing repairs and tasks as required, and ensuring that all mechanical systems within the buildings operate efficiently and effectively as well as overseeing the budget for Building Maintenance Division and

supervision of staff.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job include:

Minimum Certification in Housing or Settlement Maintenance or Journeyman's certificate in one or more building trades is required. Valid Driver's License Able to work overtime, weekends, and some evenings as required. On Call hours maybe required Experience with boilers and furnaces Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good time management skills Supervisory and organizational skills are required

Salary and Benefits:

Starting wage:

As per collective agreement

Northern Allowance

$23,000.00 per year (paid hourly)

NEBS:

As per collective agreement

Hours of Work:

Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm



If the successful candidate is not a beneficiary of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, the job will be offered on a two-year term.
