We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to join our dynamic and innovative team. If you are a dedicated and skilled Test Lead who is committed to continuous improvement and passionate about test and QA best practices, we would like to hear from you.

Reporting to the Manager of Application Integration, the Test Lead will oversee and actively participate in the creation and execution of testing strategies and test plans, ensuring that all tests are properly created, documented and tracked and that the testing environment is maintained.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of software testing activities, ensuring the quality and reliability of software products and that they align with organizational standards and end-user requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and execute comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring that our deliverables meet the highest quality standards.

Your daily duties will include:

  • Overseeing the development and execution of test plans, test scripts and test cases; providing direction and coaching to cross-functional team members on creating test plans and testing processes
  • Coordinating test activities and scheduling and controlling test execution, as well as documenting testing details and outcomes
  • Collaborating with Project Managers, developers and other internal and external teams to develop and execute testing strategies and testing activities
  • Allocating and overseeing testing resources, including personnel, external providers, tools, and environments
  • Creating detailed documentation on how releases will be tested and evaluated and defining the testing approach for each service validation
  • Ensuring test cases follow the test plan and monitoring progress of testing activities
  • Coordinating testing activities with cross-functional team members, ensuring testing encompasses all tools and mechanisms required for deployment, migration and back-out and that all components meet expected quality standards
  • Overseeing the tracking and logging of identified defects and ensuring they are prioritized and resolved
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of testing processes, test cases, results and issues and preparing reports
  • Conducting regular audits of the testing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
  • Evaluating test processes and methodologies post-implementation to measure effectiveness, as well as identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and optimization.
What you\'ll need:
  • Broad end to end knowledge of the testing function, testing methodologies, tools and automation and 5 years\' of experience in software testing, quality assurance or a related role within IT organizations; or a combination of education, training and experience
  • Experience with various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, integration, regression, user acceptance) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Selenium, TestRail)
  • Experience in coordinating testing teams and testing in large and complex programs and/or projects
  • Understanding of ITIL framework and its application to testing processes
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies
  • Sound ability to develop reports, test cases, scripts and other written materials
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple testing projects, schedules, and resources
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly address, diagnose and resolve issues
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively; ability to present and provide information to various audiences and to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders through respect & integrity, open communication and teamwork

Security Requirements:

As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm. The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is five [5] years.

To qualify for this process, a candidate may either be a Canadian Permanent Resident [PR] or Canadian Citizens. We regret any candidates under Student, Visitor, or Work Visas are not eligible for consideration.

Vaccination Requirements: E-Comm 911 has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
