Job Summary:

The Test Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting the ongoing activities of the Test Engineering Team to develop world-class hardware and software solutions for our high-performance integrated circuits. The successful candidate will gain experience in printed circuit board (PCB) design techniques and software development as well the integration into the industry-leading test equipment installed in our development labs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Test Engineers with the verification and release of production test solutions including: hardware and software verification, data collection activities such as GR&R, documentation, and interfacing with our ramp-up engineers at our contract manufacturing facilities (40%).
  • Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process by assisting with device characterization and management of reliability test screening by modifying existing software and verifying the associated hardware required for these activities (30%).
  • Carry out experiments of new test techniques/approaches as defined by members of the Test Engineering Team by developing or modifying software and/or hardware, design of experiments, and compilation and presentation of results (20%).
  • Assist with lab support tasks like data collection and remote user support as required (10%).


Minimum Qualifications:
  • C/C++ programming
  • Basic circuit theory
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience with software revision control systems
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes is an asset
  • Python knowledge is an asset
  • Experience in PCB schematic design is an asset
