About the role

This is an exciting challenge as part of the Contact Billing program, which aims to deploy a new collection system across all Intact companies/provinces.

We are looking for a test automation developer specialist to support and guide our growing team in automating our tests and evolving our quality assurance practices.

What you\'ll do here:

  • Ensure product quality during development cycles.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the test automation framework.
  • Responsible for automation scripts.
  • Provide visibility into test coverage.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Integrate automated testing into our continuous integration tools.
  • Evaluate quality assurance tools.
  • Promote the improvement of quality assurance processes, methodologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to establish in-depth testing plans and to understand our product.
  • Provide mentoring and assistance with training and training plans for the testing team.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to the management team and members of the development teams to maintain a high level of quality.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in software testing and quality assurance.
  • May be called upon to work within squads.
What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or a DCS in computer science or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance and test automation.
  • Knowledge of Scrum methodology and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Excel.
  • Knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, JUnit, etc.).
  • Experience in integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Knowledge of Java.
  • Knowledge of JIRA.
  • Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Complete command of test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Experience with integration and regression testing on complex products.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire is an asset.
  • Knowledge of property and casualty insurance is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the billing industry is an asset.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
