The Position: Sales Territory Manager (Saskatchewan, Canada)

Position Overview:



The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing and driving sales growth within the region. This includes developing relationships with new and existing clients, implementing strategic sales plans, and achieving revenue targets. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and requires a strong understanding of the local market, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities:



Territory Management:



Oversee sales operations, ensuring all targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. Create and execute a territory-specific sales plan to grow market share and revenue. Identify and prioritize key accounts and opportunities in urban and rural areas.

Customer Relationship Development:



Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, distributors, and partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Develop customized solutions to meet customer needs and provide value-added services.

Sales Strategy Execution:



Implement national and regional sales strategies, tailoring them to align with unique market dynamics. Conduct market research to stay informed about local trends, competitors, and customer preferences. Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns and events targeting Saskatchewan customers in sales territories

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:



Track sales metrics, including revenue, customer acquisition, and retention rates, and report progress to the V.P. Sales. Use CRM systems to maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline data. Prepare and present regular performance updates, forecasts, and territory insights.

Travel and On-the-Ground Engagement:



Travel extensively within territories to visit customers, attend industry events, and conduct face-to-face sales meetings. Act as the company representative at local trade shows, expos, and community events.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:



Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer service, to deliver exceptional value to clients. Provide feedback to the company on market conditions, customer needs, and potential product improvements.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in a similar role or industry. Strong understanding of the Saskatchewan market, including rural and urban dynamics. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proficient with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite. Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage a large territory. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively across territories.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or technology. Familiarity with the Saskatchewan business environment and key industries.
