TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnered with an industry leading manufacturer of industrial air filtration products and are searching for their new Solution Sales Territory Manager, based in Alberta, covering the prairie region (Alberta, Saskatchewan, & Manitoba)
The is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leader, sell interesting and complex mechanical solutions, work from a home office, and build long-term client relationships.
This position comes with a base salary and commission plan, targeting $140,000 for on-target earnings.
Position Overview:
This role is focused on executing strategic sales initiatives to meet and exceed monthly and annual revenue targets. You'll work directly with Dealers, end-users, and industry stakeholders to uncover opportunities, assess needs, develop proposals, and close deals for extraction systems. Additionally, you'll build long-term relationships with key accounts and industry influencers while actively contributing to team strategy and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive Sales and Manage Opportunities (Approx. 80%)

  • Proactively engage with Dealers and industry contacts to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Conduct needs assessments with end-users to tailor effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Team to design compelling proposals and system concepts.
  • Present solutions and manage the sales process to achieve a close rate of 30% or higher.
  • Execute a structured sales activity plan using CRM tools to manage leads, forecast results, and meet monthly targets.
  • Submit bi-weekly updates and monthly forecasts, maintaining an up-to-date project pipeline and quoting log.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate risk management policies throughout the sales cycle.
2. Promote Brand and Build Market Presence (Approx. 10%)
  • Expand market reach in Midwest Canada by networking with key contacts and building brand awareness.
  • Support marketing and customer business planning activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the technology, distribution models, and applications relevant to target markets.
  • Manage strategic accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to drive collective business growth.
3. Contribute to Team Strategy and Growth (Approx. 10%)
  • Assist the VP of Sales in developing annual and monthly budgets and sales plans.
  • Collaborate across the team to align with broader regional and global strategies.
  • Provide ongoing insights into market trends, competitor activity, and performance metrics, along with strategic recommendations.
  • Take full ownership of the sales process to ensure profitability and effectiveness.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and deliver updated progress and forecasts.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical sales within industrial environments.
  • Industry experience in metalworking, wood manufacturing, or food packaging preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing abilities.
  • Proven track record in hitting sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics in core industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working in a collaborative team setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), CRM platforms, and quoting tools.
  • AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of capital equipment sales and industrial ventilation systems.
  • Familiarity with legal aspects of business contracts.
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams and solve complex challenges.
  • Willingness to travel 50-70% of the time within the region.
