Territory Sales ManagerDepartment: Sales / MarketingEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Canada - AlbertaReporting To: Justin McIntyreDescriptionWe are looking for a driven, personable, and talented individual with a hunter\'s mentality. This individual must be an organized, self-motivated team player ready to take on the position of Territory Manager for Alberta and Saskatchewan Canada. This passionate individual will represent Franklin Water Treatment Canada within our network of wholesale partners and independent dealers creating long term relationships while maintaining a high level of customer service throughout their territory.Responsible for managing and growing product sales and market share with assigned accounts within an assigned territory. Develops and maintains large distribution/dealer accounts and reports on market opportunities and developments.Key Responsibilities

  • Completes sales to achieve corporate sales goals, forecasts, objectives, and action plans.
  • Build and support relationships with key customers and business partners to optimize go-to market strategies and priorities.
  • Responsible for implementing an effective account management strategy geared towards exceeding growth expectations, improving customer service, and strengthening the brand.
  • Develop new customers through continuous prospecting.
  • Ability to travel frequently, greater than 50%. Overnight travel will be required.
  • Submitting sales activity and results reporting through CRM system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly sales and strategy meetings, monthly sales meetings and annual territory analyses and forecasting.
  • Monitors and maintains business expense reports.
  • Perform product orientations, training and execute corporate promotions throughout the sales territory.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education.
  • Being technically proficient and mechanically inclined. Must be able to assist plumbers and water treatment professionals with technical questions related to applications, equipment installations, etc.
  • Researches and reports competitive threats and provides recommendations on how to respond.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Ability to travel more than 50% of the time within assigned territory, with overnight travel.
  • Experience, knowledge and current relationships in the water treatment, pump and plumbing industry considered an asset.
  • Professional sales experience.
  • Valid driver\'s license required.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Must be a team player with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills, with the use of Microsoft products, CRM system.
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
  • Quick learner who adapts well to change.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple accounts.
  • Mechanically inclined, able to work with plumbing and water treatment professionals in the field and on job sites.
  • A willingness to learn water treatment theory, processes and applications.
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information .
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, business management, engineering technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, product management, or a related field (required).
  • Knowledge in water treatment (preferred).
  • Travel required: 50-70%
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
  • Driver\'s License
  • Valid Passport
  • Willing to attain CWQA certification
