You will be responsible for all sales activities in Toronto, Ontario (Core Accounts). The primary job function of the Territory Manager (TM) is to sell Diamed products and to achieve sales targets assigned each fiscal year. The TM is expected to act independently, proactively and professionally, making regular direct sales calls and follow ups on existing accounts while opening new accounts in the territory.
Diamed has Equipment, Consumables and Life Science products which need to be presented to all accounts in a quarterly sales cycle. The lead document and focus for each quarter are our Core Flyers and your role is to focus on presenting the products featured in the current promotional material while also checking customer's needs for all other products.
The main method of achieving sales is by calling on all accounts in an organized, time and cost effective manner presenting the flyer to lab technicians for consumables and life science items and PI's or senior lab technicians for equipment. A strong focus on customer service is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Promote, demonstrate and sample to customers
2. Present the consumable & life science products using the current promotional material to all customers each cycle.
3. Follow up on all enquiries within reasonable time
4. Disseminate all current promotional material for customer use
5. Provide customers with timely and accurate quotations where required using the company Quote system
6. Solve customer problems in terms of finding the correct product for the customer's application assisting and/or expediting customer interaction with Diamed Head Office
7. Build positive relationships with customers to enhance Diamed's image and customer base
8. Collect and provide market information
9. Attend weekly Sales Meetings
10. Set up and run Diamed Shows
11. Use the CART program where it is advantageous
12. From time to time, you may be asked to help/resolve additional tasks, projects or responsibilities as needed
In accomplishing the above, the TM will complete, on time, all required administration forms, for example Show Reports, expenses and whatever market information is required.
Details about this role:
This position is a full time, salaried position, covering the Toronto area. The TM is employed on a work from home basis and is expected to travel to visit customers based in their facilities, for each sale cycle
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of Laboratory experience, Laboratory Management experience or Sales Experience in the field of Molecular Biology, Genetics of Consumables, Reagents, Medical Devices, Service and Equipment is required.
One or more Post-Secondary degrees in the field of Science related to Molecular Biology and or Genetics is required.
Fluent in English, understanding English audibly, orally and in written forms. The ability to communicate in French, Audibly, orally and in written forms would be an asset for potential candidates.
Valid G Class License is required
Valid Automobile Insurance is required
Ownership and access to an automobile large enough to carry equipment & supplies for day-to-day requirements as well as picking up and delivering items as needed, i.e. for product shows, is required.

Previous ISO 13485 - MDSAP experience and First Aid/CPR certification would be assets for potential candidates.
The ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively is required.
Compensation:
Salary: There is a base salary plus Commission based on a percentage of consumable and Equipment sold by the TM within their region.
