Ellwood Specialty Metals is a leading distributor and fully-integrated producer of tool steels for plastic molds, die casting and other tooling applications. We provide the mold and die steel and aluminum for many of the largest automotive and consumer companies in the world. We currently have an opening for a talented Territory Sales Manager.
This exempt position is located in the Windsor area and reports to the General Manager of ESM in Windsor.
The Territory Sales Manager will be tasked with growing Ellwood Specialty Metals sales in the Greater Windsor Area, as well as other provinces west of Ontario, and providing world-class customer service. Responsibilities include identifying, developing, and growing sales to new customers while broadening and deepening relationships with existing accounts.
Applicants must have significant sales experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting and demonstrate a track record of growing market share and profitable sales. Knowledge of and experience with mold steel and aluminum are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Grow Ellwood Specialty Metals sales by identifying and calling on new sales targets, understanding those customers' challenges, and selling product and solutions that meet their needs.
Grow market share and deepen relationships with existing customers by better understanding their needs and offering compelling and differentiated value.
Create sales plans and manage activity accordingly with the General Manager to achieve Ellwood Specialty Metals sales goals.
Stay abreast of competitive developments, feed marketing information back to executives and develop action plans that address the evolving business landscape.
Work with the inside sales team to quickly respond to customer inquiries, orders, and other requests for information and service and ensure that product ships on time.
Provide technical support to customers for projects, quality claims, and commercial discussions.
Collaborate with operations, inside sales, executives, and other ESS Group companies to solve business challenges and seize selling opportunities.
Manage claims, finding win-win solutions for clients and the company and limiting company exposure.
Support additional marketing efforts and activities as necessary.
REQUIRED
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two-year (or more) college preferred.
5+ years of sales experience with a track record of growing market share and profitable sales preferred.
3+ years of manufacturing or equivalent technical experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong math skills.
Ability to build and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
Ability to multi-task and move the ball forward on multiple priorities at once.
Ability to solve problems in a timely manner and implement solutions.
Self-starter. Capable of working autonomously with limited guidance.
Background with metallurgy or materials science a plus.
Knowledge of and experience with mold steel and aluminum
