Fenner Dunlop is seeking a dynamic Territory Account Manager to join our corporate sales team in Canada.
In this role, you will be instrumental in driving sales growth and expanding our market presence across Quebec, the Maritimes, Labrador, and Newfoundland. Reporting directly to the National Sales Director, you will manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts, identify new business opportunities, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Your primary goal will be to build and maintain strong client relationships, understand their unique needs, and provide tailored solutions that exceed expectations. We strive to be the premier provider of the safest and most reliable conveyor belting and services to a variety of heavy industrial markets such as coal mining, hard rock mining, sand, gravel, wood handling, power generation, pulp and paper. What You'll Do
Relationship Management & Business Growth
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing distributors and customers to drive revenue growth and improve margins.
Assist distributors in identifying and converting new sales opportunities within their assigned territories.
Support distributors and customers in selecting the most suitable products for their applications.
Introduce Fenner's product line to consulting firms and potential customers.
Build and maintain relationships with other sales professionals to coordinate opportunities and achieve shared business goals.
Sales & Negotiations
Facilitate contract negotiations, including new and existing agreements, pricing, and sales quotations.
Deliver effective sales presentations to prospective and existing customers.
Participate in networking events and local trade associations to expand company visibility and establish new connections.
Provide input to the annual sales budget by analyzing customer potential and forecasting realistic, attainable targets.
Distributor Management
Monitor and evaluate distributor performance to ensure alignment with company standards and objectives.
Reporting & Administration
Prepare and submit accurate weekly, monthly, and semi-annual sales reports documenting activities and progress.
Complete and submit all required documentation, including requisition forms, promptly and accurately.
Maintain acceptable margins on all products and services.
Perform conveyor surveys and inspections as needed to support customer and distributor needs.
Cross-Functional Support
Collaborate with internal departments, including the technical team, to address customer requirements and ensure service excellence.
When required, assist the finance department in resolving past due invoice matters.
Additional Responsibilities:
Travel to customer/distributor sites as required, including overnight travel up to 50% nationally and internationally.
Professional behavior is required during working hours, while on customer/distributor sites and while traveling for Fenner Dunlop business.
Works safely at all times, and ensures that those around you do the same, both internally and externally, ensuring a strong safety culture.
Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of five years of sales experience in an industrial setting, with a demonstrated record of success.
Knowledge of the mining market is considered a strong asset.
Proven ability to sell value-added products and solutions effectively.
Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
