Your Opportunity





The primary responsibilities of this position include:


Maintain high quality and safety of Terrain Park features Ensure that regular maintenance including raking, shoveling, salting, inspection of all features is completed by staff Accountable for completion of daily documentation of feature maintenance and required incident reports by staff Interact with visitors to educate and inform them of Terrain Park rules and etiquette, future layout plans, rationale behind layout decisions, and consideration of their input and ideas. Execute opening and closing procedures daily Record and complete daily safety checks and observations Perform regular maintenance of terrain park fences and signage Collaborate with the Recreation Operations team to assist with building new features Mindful of safety hazards/concerns within the work environment for both staff and members of the public Assist customers with inquiries and maintain a safe and attractive visitor environment. Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals. Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications




Previous experience working in a Terrain Park is an asset Experience in a leadership role is an asset Strong ski and/or snowboard ability required A strong interest in freestyle skiing/snowboarding Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills required Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, on varied terrain. Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time Freestyle certification with CSIA, CASI, CSF or CFS is an asset Risk management experience and first aid experience considered an asset CH parks are not accessible by public transit; candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation.
