The Terminal Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all terminal operations, including Shipping, Yard, Transload, Rail, and Depot (container storage) activities. This role manages a diverse workforce of light industrial/equipment operators and administrative/office staff and ensures safe, efficient, and well-coordinated operations across multiple functional areas.
Coordination, planning, and scheduling are the foundation of this position. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can balance people leadership, operational oversight, and real-time problem-solving in a fast-paced terminal environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Oversee daily terminal operations across Shipping, Yard, Transload, Rail, and Depot functions
Lead, manage, coach, and mentor a mixed team of office staff and light industrial/equipment operators
Plan, coordinate, and schedule labor, equipment, and workflows to meet operational demands
Actively engage in yard operations by providing oversight and hands-on support when required
Manage multiple operational areas, teams, and priorities simultaneously
Address and resolve operational issues efficiently while maintaining safety and productivity
Promote strong communication, accountability, and teamwork across all departments
What You Must Have
Experience managing terminal, yard, logistics, transportation, or industrial operations
Demonstrated leadership experience with both operational and administrative teams
Strong coordination, planning, and scheduling skills
Comfort working in both office and outdoor/yard environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities and problem-solve in real time
Strong communication, coaching, and people development skills
