Our 2025 season has just began and we're looking for hardworking and certified full-time

Temporary Workplace Signers (TWS)

to join our team. In this exciting role, you would be responsible for overseeing a team of Traffic Control Person(s) (TCPs) and working with a foreman/superintendent to establish a safe workplace for construction job sites around Halifax/Dartmouth and surrounding HRM areas. We have a busy season coming up this year, don't hesitate to apply!

We offer:

Competitive wages starting at $19.50/hour for those with no drivers license or not in a driver role. Wages starting at $21.00/hour for applicants who will also be responsible for operating our company vehicles. + Drivers must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License, clean drivers abstract, and no "N" or "R" on your license.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Set-up safe work zones using traffic cones, barrels and barricades. Plan detailed traffic control solutions based on customer needs and safe work practices. Responsible for the safe passage of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists through work areas. Monitor the safe work zones and correct compliance and personnel issues as they arise. Communicate any incidents or hazards to the Site Supervisor. Complete required administration and safety paperwork. Ensure a safe work environment in accordance with all policies and procedures. Follow instructions given by Site Foreman, Site Supervisor, and Management.

Requirements:

Reliable and punctual. Must be able to interpret both written and verbal instructions. Great communication skills and willing to work in a diverse team environment. Must be able to show leadership and good decision-making abilities. Able to work outside in all weather conditions, often working long days. Comfortable working near vehicle traffic and heavy equipment. Required ability to lift up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods of time. Valid TCP Certification. Valid TWS Certification. Valid Class 5 License an asset.
