We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Temporary Part-Time Evening Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Unregulated Care Provider (UCP) to join our team from December 22 to January 22. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. This role is essential in delivering personalized assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being during evening hours.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with care plans and medication administration protocols. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light cleaning duties and meal preparation for residents. Engage with residents through meaningful interactions, promoting socialization and emotional well-being. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery while adhering to ORCA regulations. Assist in the use of mobility aids.

Skills

Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs. Familiarity with caregiving practices for individuals with disabilities. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in hospice care or memory care is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work independently while demonstrating strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
