ANHBC is currently seeking an experienced Temporary Early Childhood Educator who shares ANHBC's values to join our Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House team www.froghollow.bc.ca. Neighbourhood houses are highly collaborative with a strong team framework. The right person for this position is passionate about community development, social justice and is values-aligned with our organization.

About You



We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate, flexible, and compassionate individual to join our dynamic child care team as an

Early Childhood Educator to work in our 3-5 program at Satellite Daycare located at 3260 E. Broadway, Vancouver.



About the Position



The Early Childhood Educator is a temporary position and responsible for the provision of an early learning and care program that fosters a positive, and emergent learning environment with a focus on the social and emotional well being of all children. We are an inclusive, multicultural, dynamic and collaborative child care setting which includes working with other educators to plan and implement a progressive and innovative program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, BC Early Learning Framework in concert with the values of FHNH. Other responsibilities include developing strong and collaborative relationships and communication with children, families, and colleagues. This position works in the 3-5 program at Satellite Daycare or in other childcare program as need arises.

Skills & Qualifications:



ECE

Ability to provide programming based on the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach and BC's ELF

Strength in building and maintaining supportive and collaborative partnerships with children of all abilities,

families, and colleagues

Creativity, initiative, flexibility, compassion, sense of joy, and enthusiasm

Passion for ongoing professional development and growth

Strong planning, organizational, leadership and communication skills

Hours:

This is a temporary full-time position at 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, rotating shifts, and occasional evening meetings.

Salary & Benefits:

Hourly Salary: $22.77 (Salary Band C2. This position qualifies for the additional $6.00 WE. Benefits include sick time, 6% vacation pay added to each paycheque, and professional development opportunities.

Term of position:

September 2, 2025 or as soon as position is filled to March 31, 2026 with possibility of extension to August 31, 2026.
