Job Description

Parallel 49 Brewing Company is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Temporary Class One Driver to operate our truck while a team member is on vacation. This contract role will run for approximately 6 weeks from January 19 to February 27, 2026. The schedule is 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.


In this position, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of our craft beer products to locations across the Greater Vancouver area, pickups from suppliers, and transfer runs between our Vancouver production facility and our Delta warehouse. You will play an important role in keeping our logistics operations running smoothly by following established routes and schedules, meeting appointment times, and maintaining all safety and compliance standards.

Duties and Responsibilities



Safe and Efficient Driving:

Operate a Class One commercial vehicle to complete transfer orders and transport brewery products to distribution points, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Product Delivery:

Safely load and unload products at designated locations while maintaining the quality and integrity of the merchandise.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the delivery truck. Ensure cleanliness of the delivery truck and trailer is maintained on a daily basis. Report any issues or concerns promptly.

Customer Service:

Interact professionally with customers and coworkers at delivery points, ensuring a positive representation of Parallel 49 Brewing Company.

Documentation:

Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation, including delivery manifests, invoices, and proof of delivery records accurately and in a timely manner. Scan all transfer orders in and out of the truck.

Compliance:

Adhere to all federal, provincial, and company-specific regulations related to the transportation of alcoholic beverages, including age verification procedures.

Safety:

Prioritize safety at all times, following safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or incidents.

Forklift and Warehouse Work:

Assist on forklift or power jack at either warehouse, when necessary. Perform warehouse tasks when required.

Qualifications



Valid BC Class One driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum of 2 years of Class One driving experience. Ability to operate Class one delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. Knowledge of Greater Vancouver area roadways and delivery routes. Comfortable using Email, Excel and Microsoft Word Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Excellent communication skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Possess an energetic, positive, personable attitude and a love for craft beer. Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.

Working Conditions



Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds * Must be able to sit in a vehicle and stand for extended periods of time
