Eden Valley Poultry Incorporated is seeking a

Temporary

Building Maintenance Worker (Mon to Fri - 3pm to 11pm; occasionally other shifts to assist with coverage)

As the Building Maintenance Worker, you will perform regular inspections and building maintenance.

Responsibilities Include:

General building repairs and maintenance. + Building construction
- Doors
- Windows
- Roof leaks
- Calking walls and ceilings
- Building inspections
- Floor repairs
- Locks
+ HVAC
- Filter changes on ventilation
- Heat pumps
- Exhaust fans roof and acclimatizing
+ Minor plumbing
- Pipe leaks
- Plunging toilets and sinks
- Chemical leaks
- Wells
- Drains
- Wash station
Assist and take daily direction from the Chief Power Engineer/Building Maintenance Manager on jobs and tasks to maintain a clean and orderly site. Maintain a record of current inventory (work order processing). Maintain all building-related service logs and checklist in compliance with plant policies. Identify and recommend to supervisor preventive maintenance requirements for buildings and basic equipment. May be required to assist with snow removal, ground maintenance service or building operations functions. Ensure and enforce compliance to all company and legislated safety policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience Required:

A high school or college diploma. One year of related maintenance/operations experience. Knowledge of general maintenance procedures. Knowledge of construction materials. Able to use basic power tools and complete basic building maintenance. General knowledge of HVAC electrical/mechanical systems. Good mechanical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and preventative maintenance software applications. Ability to work shift work
